For the last two years, my key ask has been wisdom.
I looked forward to a couple of "a-ha" moments to bring me bits of wisdom here and there, but life didn’t give it to me easy.
Instead of handing me easy insights, life placed me in situations where what I wished for became inevitable.
Asking for something as profound as wisdom came with a price: grief, hopelessness, conflict, and struggle.
Yet, I don’t regret my decision to ask for wisdom.
These experiences, though painful, have shaped me for the better.
As I find closure in this chapter of my life, here are the lessons I want to share going into 2025:
1. Choose Patience, because it’s Resilience.
Be patient. The world moves at its own pace, and so should you. It’s tempting to try to force outcomes, just like I did in the beginning of my settlement process after the accident. But some things simply take time; life doesn’t rush.
You have to take it one day at a time and to breathe through the process. Slowing down isn’t weakness; it’s resilience. Patience isn’t passive; it’s trusting the process and allowing growth to unfold naturally.
If you’re waiting for something and feeling vulnerable, trust the process. Focus on what you can control, let go of the rest, and take it day by day.
2. Choose Non-Universal Success, because it’s the Real You.
Only when my life was shaken to its core did I ask, “Am I where I truly want to be?” It’s a question worth asking sooner rather than later because you are in charge of your own life. Mentors and role models can inspire, but their paths aren’t yours, and they don’t hold all the answers. The real question is: Is the ideal image of yourself what you truly want?
Happiness isn’t about chasing a success story that looks good on paper.
True fulfillment comes from living your story, rooted in your unique strengths and desires.
After seven surgeries, I jumped into a new job, only to quit four months later. It was terrifying and made me feel incapable, but I had to prioritize survival and coping before I could think about thriving.
The invaluable truth is that success isn’t universal. It’s not about what seems right to others; it’s about what feels right to you.
3. Choose Intuition, because it’s Trust in Yourself.
We’re often told to ignore emotions in decision-making, but they are powerful signals, guiding us to what truly matters. Logic is valuable, but it’s limited. True power comes from beyond logic at intuition.
As life shapes us, our intuition grows sharper, reflecting grounded truths and helping us make decisions aligned with who we are.
When I faced a major decision about my future, I started logically but ultimately chose based on what felt right. That choice led me to a fulfilling path, managing multiple roles without regret.
Intuition isn’t a gamble; it’s informed trust in yourself.
It’s your most authentic guide to a life that feels true.
Trust it.
Hello, 2025
Growth often feels like a steep climb, but sometimes it’s not about reaching higher—it’s about beginning anew. This chapter of my life is rooted in post-traumatic growth: not the rush of rapid ascent, but the deliberate act of rebuilding my worldview and rewriting my narrative from the ground up.
I am crafting a new foundation, one anchored in resilience, authenticity, and self-awareness.
It’s about redefining what truly matters, discovering strength in the smallest of moments, and welcoming the healing process as a way to become whole once more.
As I close this chapter, I wish for peace and joy—for myself and for you. Here’s to walking forward with wisdom, patience, and an open heart, as we create lives that reflect our truest selves.
